We believe in transparency, kindness, and creative integrity — and this is where it all comes into bloom.

PRIVACY POLICY

Shadeflower Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with our website and services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information when you use our site:

  • Contact Details: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and website URL (via forms or communications).

  • Account Information: If you create a user account or subscribe to a membership, we collect login credentials and profile details.

  • Payment Details: If you purchase a service or product, we process payment information via third-party providers (SquareUp, PayPal, Stripe). We do not store your full credit card data on our servers.

  • Uploaded Content: Any files, images, or documents you choose to share through our forms or platforms.

  • Newsletter & Subscriptions: If you opt into our email list, we collect your email address and preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and personalize our services

  • Respond to your inquiries or support requests

  • Process payments and deliver products

  • Manage memberships and user accounts

  • Send updates, newsletters, and occasional promotions (only with your consent)

  • Maintain site security and performance

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Note: We do not currently use Google Analytics or Facebook tracking, but this may change. If it does, this policy will be updated.

We take security seriously and use trusted hosting (Bluehost), secure payment gateways (SquareUp, PayPal, Stripe), and access controls to protect your data. However, no website can guarantee 100% security — so we encourage strong passwords and safe online practices.

6. Your Rights

You can request:

  • To view or correct your personal information

  • To unsubscribe from emails

  • To delete your data (where legally permitted)

7. Children’s Privacy

Welcome to Shadeflower Studios! By accessing or using our website (www.shadeflowerdesigns.com or www.shopshadeflower.com), you agree to abide by the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights or restrict the enjoyment of others.

You may not:

  • Use the site to post or share malicious content, spam, or offensive material

  • Attempt to hack, interfere, or gain unauthorized access to our website or systems

  • Copy, reproduce, or misuse content without permission

2. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including designs, logos, images, graphics, copy, branding, artwork, and products — is the property of Shadeflower Studios and may not be used or reproduced without express written consent.

Custom design work created for clients remains the intellectual property of Shadeflower Studios unless otherwise agreed upon in a signed contract.

  • The content does not violate any laws or infringe on third-party rights

We reserve the right to remove or block any user-submitted content that we believe violates these terms.

All sales of services, subscriptions, or digital or physical products are subject to our current pricing and terms, as outlined in individual contracts or service agreements. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis as detailed in those agreements.

E-commerce transactions are securely processed through third-party providers (SquareUp, PayPal, Stripe). We do not store full credit card information.

5. Disclaimers

While we strive for accuracy and functionality, our site is provided “as is.” Shadeflower Studios makes no warranties or guarantees about:

  • The accuracy or completeness of information on the site

  • The availability or functionality of the site at all times

  • Outcomes of using our services

We are not liable for damages arising from use of the site, your reliance on site content, or technical issues beyond our control.

6. Links to Other Sites

Our website may contain links to third-party sites for your convenience. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

7. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after updates implies your acceptance of those changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

The natural world can provide us with valuable health and lifestyle benefits, but it is important to note that Shadeflower Studios LLC makes no health claims or guarantees about any of its products. Products sold by Shadeflower Studios LLC are meant to help enhance your life, but should not be taken as absolute, nor act as a replacement to therapy, medical attention, financial advice, etc. Products should be used strictly as a tool to COMPLEMENT your life, certainly not as a means to dictate it.

I am not a therapist, financial or career advisor, fortune-teller, or doctor. I assume no liability for any damages, losses or other consequences of any decisions or actions taken based on usage of my products. In using these products, you agree to not hold Shadeflower Studios LLC, myself, my holdings, family, or dependents legally responsible.

Contents of Mother Earth bottles and Loose Incense Blends are not meant for internal use.

Refunds:

Shadeflower Studios LLC has a 14-day exchange policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request an exchange if the product was defective.

To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or order number.

To start an exchange, you can contact Shadeflower. If your exchange is accepted, you will be sent instructions on how and where to send the package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Other Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact Shadeflower immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so we can make it right.

TAROT READINGS: Disclaimer & Liability

While I believe that Tarot can provide us with valuable insight into our psyche and help us make decisions about our lives, it is important to note that Tarot readings are subject to interpretation and should not be taken as absolute. Tarot does not force you to follow a particular course or action or exert any form of control over your own free will and common sense. Tarot should be used strictly as a tool to COMPLEMENT your life, certainly not as a means to dictate it.

A reading is never 100% accurate. I am not a therapist, financial or career advisor, fortune-teller, or doctor. Tarot should not be used as a replacement of therapy, medical attention, etc. and does not replace professional medical/legal/business opinions and advice. The content of your reading(s) are not legally binding. Any decisions made or actions taken as a result of your reading are your sole responsibility.

I, Melissa Hickman, owner of Shadeflower Studios LLC assumes no liability for any damages, losses, or other consequences of any decisions or actions taken based on my readings. Furthermore, I cannot be held responsible if a reading has not come to actualize. The future is ever-changing and a single action can shift everything that could occur. Tarot only offers a glimpse at the current future, with the understanding that life is ruled by Free Will and not absolute.

Confidentiality:

All information exchanged between myself and my clients during readings are confidential. NO personal information will ever be intentionally passed along by me to anyone, including third parties.

I promise to hold no negative judgments over your questions or situations. Life is messy and complicated. I respect and welcome that with compassion and love. My goal in providing this service of Tarot readings is to help others understand themselves a bit better, to help them get in touch with their own Inner Wisdom, and to join in the flow of positive energy into the Universe for the Greater Good.I will not be held responsible for any data leaks or other digital security breaches. Client must be held responsible their own digital security (i.e., email, text messages, etc.). Readings are sent via email; however at your request, I will provide a private Dropbox link, a password-protected PDF or Pages document, or print and mail it via USPS at no extra cost to you.

Refunds:

If you read these terms and do not agree in full, yet have already processed payment for a reading (and the reading has not yet occurred), I will offer you a refund. Once a reading has been completed, no refunds will be offered. In checking the box on the Tarot Discovery Form, you agree to not hold Shadeflower Studios LLC, Melissa Hickman, her holdings, family or dependents legally responsible.

WEBSITE MAINTENANCE PLANS: Contract Terms

Services Included:

Shadeflower Studios (“SFS”) will provide website maintenance services based on the package selected by the Client. Each plan includes a specified number of monthly service requests, limited to content modifications, general troubleshooting, software/plugin updates, monthly cleanup, and basic analytics review.

Note: Unused Service Requests and Content Modifications do not roll over into subsequent months. Each month’s allotment expires at the end of the billing cycle and resets on the first day of the following month.

All work beyond included requests will be billed at Shadeflower’s discounted hourly rate of $75/hour, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Setup Fee

A one-time setup fee of $149 will be applied to all new maintenance clients or returning clients whose site has not been under active management by SFS for 12 months or more. If the site requires extensive repair or reorganization upon audit, SFS reserves the right to adjust the setup fee accordingly and will notify the Client in advance.

Service Requests

Service Requests must be submitted using the designated Service Request Form provided by SFS (found at www.shadeflowerdesigns.com/wmp-service-request). Each Service Request may include multiple tasks but should not exceed the scope of the Client’s plan. Turnaround time may vary depending on complexity and current workload, but most requests will be addressed within 3–5 business days.

Client Responsibility

Client agrees to provide timely and accurate materials, content, and access credentials as needed. This includes:

• Admin login credentials (or creating an admin user account for SFS)
• Hosting or domain access if required
• Payment processor access for e-comm clients (e.g. PayPal, Stripe, Shopify, SquareUp)
• Current logos, images, text, SKUs, and other relevant assets

Client is responsible for ensuring legal use of all content submitted. SFS is not liable for copyright violations, plagiarism, or unlicensed use of media.

Communication & Participation

Client understands that delays in response, missing content, or unapproved requests may impact timelines. SFS is not responsible for delays resulting from lack of participation.

Service Interruptions

SFS reserves the right to pause services due to illness, emergencies, holidays, or family leave. Whenever possible, Client will be notified in advance. If there is a prolonged pause in service, Client fees may be prorated or credited at the discretion of SFS.

Legal

This agreement does not guarantee specific results or uptime. While SFS will use best practices to maintain site health and performance, Client acknowledges the dynamic nature of the web and agrees that SFS is not liable for factors beyond its control (i.e., server downtime, plugin developer bugs, hosting issues, etc.).

Limit of Liability

Shadeflower Studios (SFS) will perform all services with reasonable care and skill; however, SFS makes no guarantees regarding uninterrupted service, security breaches, or protection against third-party hacks, malware, or server failures. SFS is not liable for any loss of data, business, revenue, or reputation resulting from downtime, cyberattacks, or technical issues beyond SFS’s control. It is the Client’s responsibility to maintain secure passwords and backup any critical content regularly. Additional recovery or repair work outside the scope of the maintenance agreement may incur additional fees.

Confidentiality & Non-Compete

SFS agrees to keep all proprietary or confidential information disclosed by the Client strictly confidential and not to share, reproduce, or repurpose this information outside of the maintenance project scope. Similarly, the Client agrees not to disclose internal processes, pricing, or materials created by SFS. Client further agrees not to contract with any third party for website maintenance or development services that directly copy or build upon custom work performed by SFS, without prior written consent.

Payments & Billing

Payments are due monthly via automated subscription (Stripe, Square, or other platform). A 3.5% processing fee applies to all credit card payments.

Alternate payment methods may be offered upon request.

Late or failed payments may result in a temporary suspension of service.

Subscription & Renewal Terms

This maintenance plan operates on a rolling month-to-month basis and automatically renews each month unless canceled by either party. Cancellation must be submitted in writing at least 7 days before the next billing cycle to avoid charges for the following month. Any changes to pricing, scope, or plan benefits will be communicated in writing with at least 30 days’ notice.

Termination

SFS reserves the right to terminate services if the working relationship becomes unproductive, abusive, or violates terms of this agreement. Any remaining billable hours or fees will be prorated and invoiced accordingly.
